My current health plan is:

-Eat real nutrient dense foods.

-Intermittent fast for 12–16 hours per day. Vibes based. And sometimes go multi-day.

-Go for long walks or bike rides in the sun daily. Touch grass and do stuff. Often you can combine this with business meetings.

-Sprint a couple times per week.

-Do cold plunges a couple times per week. Seriously, this seems easy to skip and it’s hard. But if you want to triple dopamine levels for the working day without later downsides, putting yourself in freezing water is the thing.

-Do some squats and pushups. And then deadlift your own body weight for several reps.

-Even then you’ll potentially fail. This isn’t one of those meme posts. I used to be utterly ripped in my competitive martial arts days in my late teens until my mid twenties. But then I got distracted, mainly due to a broken leg and lack of direction. Over the past several Covid years, I’ve weakened, and had trouble hiking mountains. I still have visible abs but they feel fake now. But I focus on a couple things amid my crazy work, which I have ingrained now. The first is intermittent fasting. It literally fixes all my other errors as a baseline. I can fuck up for a year and not gain weight because I only eat in 6 or 8 hour windows. Or even 10 hours. The rest of the time trains the body to burn fat. Next is I do a reasonable baseline of pushups, squats, and sprints per week. Nobody can make me choose to. It’s just my baseline. Last is I do a lot of squats and bicycling to keep my leg muscles interested, which have been mediocre. So if a new martial arts leader has a plan, I’m happy to listen.

Sounds like a very good plan.

Is it eating up that amount of money in hardware and electricity cost and time spent on maintenance (which has value, too), though?

Avoid cancer. Reverse insulin resistance. Express genes that would be otherwise never expressed. Many good reasons to fast. Humans didn't evolve eating three meals per day, or even one meal every day of the week.

Not a fan of the constant penis jokes, but this Journey To The West summary is really quite awesome:

Done with Chapter 1 of Black Myth Wukong.

Somehow managed to get it done when my daughter naps. This game is tough, but fair, and at least so far it respects the pmayer's time. I can jump in and out of play sessions and not get lost and when a boss kills you, running back to it is just a short walk.

Game is excellent so far. Amazing art style, awesome cut scene at the end of the chapter.

This might be the first time in almost a decade or so that I see an idea coming out of Google that might actually be good:

Now what if all the people keep hyping up content that goes against The Narrative?! Because that is exactly what is going to happen... 🤔

And of course that Blue Zones documentary on Netflix is 7DA propaganda... who would have thought that it's just another house of cards of lies... shocking.

My account here is about 1-2 months old. I have enough followers to get daily interaction.

But my point is, I don't need any followers at all. I am here to find interesting news and I get those by following others.

I am free to comment on posts that others have written and if what I write are good comments, I will get replies and engagement and sometimes people follow back.

It's a simple and organic process that would work for anyone.

If anything, we would need a directory that analyses what topics users post about and then if I am into web development, the directory can tell me the 10 most active web development npubs so I can then easily follow them all and get my timeline bootstrapped with relevant content.

I don't think getting followers is an issue AT ALL.

If the protocol made it impossible to see how many followers I have, I'd still prefer Nostr over Twitter or any other ego-centric bullshit network.

I get more engagement here with 60 followers than I got with 3000 followers on Twitter. Daily. Without a shred of a doubt.

People who worry about getting followers are dumb. Not the kind of people we need on Nostr to begin with.

Finding content and people to follow on Nostr is dead simple. Just search for a hashtag and read that hashtag's timeline for a while and you'll find people to follow.

Played a few hours of Black Myth Wukong and can't get past the first miniboss... WTF LOL?!

Why is everyone complainjng about the new Photos app on iOS 18? Looks awesome to me at a first glance?

Because X is a billion dollar company with a gigantic datacenter.

Please also get at least two cryptosteel or cryptocapsule to store your seed phrase.

When you initiate the device, write the 12 words on paper, do NOT type them into any computer device. Then slot the words into the cryptocalsule. Then burn the paper. Then hide the two cryptocapsules at two different locations, ideally in two different cities, better in two different states, better in two different countries.

Coinbase is an enemy of bitcoin. I don't know what is best in the US, maybe try Gemini instead.

Eventually you will want to have a bank account on Revolut and buy non-KYCed BTC P2P via Robosats straight to your self-hosted lightning node on a Start9 server, but that's a complicated project you probably don't want to embark on so early in your bitcoin journey.

If every X user was on Nostr, there would be 20TB of data per day. No relay would save all this. Most Nostr users will opt to have only a few days worth of posts saved, the rest will be deleted.
