"We need.... bla bla bla"

Not an argument, and you don't know what I need.

Looks like a fun day...

Super Dan

#danstr

Centralized social media is like writing on the walls of an auditorium with a sharpie, and you can only get in and out by showing your ID, and they give you the sharpie.

#Nostr is like graffiti everywhere and anywhere.

Did you realize that most people paying attention thought that $1T US debt marked the point of no return and the imminent death of the economy?

HA HA they were so wrong!

The economy had been dead since 1971

Are the requests process asynchronously from the database, for example, the requests are processed by one queue, but the database lookup is dispatched by the request processor, then the result is returned after the database has returned data. Such as; if you have two clients (A and B) making two separate requests, if A is processed before B (both in the same request handling thread), but the lookup for B returns data to be sent back before A, then B would get its respomse before A?

Dan'd if you do and Dan'd if you don't

It's not "scheduling" if every meeting for your team moves, reappears and is canceled 10 times a day

Still not knowing what the dan thing is about

The blue light receptors are in the bottom of your eyeballs, outside your field of vision. They are also much slower to respond than the visual retina. Thats why people tend to not notice things overhead. Bluelight (scarcadian rhythm) therapy would only work if the lights are on the ceiling. If you want something useful, make an infrared sauna with a real wood stove, use it in the evening. Also, don't fucking use sunscreen, just stay out of direct sunlight when the sun is between the 10 o'clock and 2 o'clock positions (rule of thumb, lower latitudes may be more hours). All this gallium aluminum arsenide semiconductor light is questionable at best. Nobody has done the most obvious study: measure melatonin blood levels in reaction to different monochromatic light. Digikey has hundreds of different wavelwngtg near-IR LEDs available. The melatonin kit is under a thousand dollars and the microvile chromatic measurememt device is basically free on ebay.

I like the idea, interesting to think about. Simple enough to get widespread adoption:

If you have "proof of stake" in a BTC wallet, lets say 100ksat, then sign your npub with the wallet private key and post the pubkey and signed message to your profile, then if someone steals your nostr nsec you can sign a new npub with the same wallet, then your identity follows your cold sats rather than an nsec that has to be hot.

If you want to shut down your profile, just spend the sats to another wallet.

If an identity misbehaves, you can ban the wallet address so they can't just create a new npub and keep spamming you. If they move their funds to a new wallet, well then they just paid a transaction fee to create a new identity.

Now your client and/or relay can set a "minimum identity stake" so you only are talking to people that are serious.

If you have only one thread per cpu, does that mean any requests from the sockets on that cpu are queued?

So all it would take is about 20 machines with separate IP addresses and a malicious websocket client to open 50k connections and open 1M connections with keep-alive traffic and attempt a ddos (even if it takes some time with the initial connection rejections).

Fortunately since each thread can handle multiple websockets, your implementation may be able to handle it. On the other hand, once all those connections are open, it would be trivial to perform a simultaneoushigh-demamd filter-query request.
