I was going to try FreeCAD but school was taking all my time, it was put on the back burner. I will get to it eventually, I'm still recovering from the last 2yrs in school.

I tend to stick with the student/home learning stuff. Student versions get all the updates that the software gets. I am talking with my instructor about getting the student version of Catia in the classroom since it is widely used in aerospace.

I am still active on campus, I help my classmates that haven't graduated yet.

I think I might explore Fusion 360 a bit and FreeCAD now that I am not in school. I also want to muck around with TinkerCAD a bit because it's super kid friendly. I have some little family members that are obsessed with 3DPrinting right now, so it might be fun for them to print something they designed.

No I can't get a student version, I graduated and my school didn't do Catia. We did all SOLIDWORKS at school. Going from MasterCam to SOLIDWORKS was pretty smooth really. My classmates in the first quarter of the CAD class struggled

I wanted to dabble in Catia because it's a standard in aerospace in the us

Currently I'm using a student version of SOLIDWORKS from school, I use to use mastercam at work back in the day too.

Didn't even get to do my GM or anything today. I was volunteered to teach a skating class for little kids that "would be awesome if it incorporates things like learning numbers and ABC''s"

There's no curriculum or lesson plans... Oh and I start tomorrow!
