Keep your seed phrase. Retire your wife. Your Bitcoin, your keys, your legacy. We are reimagining how true cypherpunks can build legacy and freedom in a world with Bitcoin and Nostr. We are Nostr first. By building on Nostr we are servants to no big tech overlords. We will be the change we want to see by enabling plebs to reach previously impossible levels of Bitcoin security, resiliency, and legacy. We provide onboarding and support to create the most resilient BTC self custody setup possible via Liana Wallet. Get the security of multisig with the recover-ability of singlesig. Taproot enables you to keep all these recovery options fully private yet enforceable onchain. When you pass away your family will have idiot-proof redundancy with multiple non-kyc, private inheritance options.

Happy Father’s Day. Just showing up, caring, and putting in effort matters. I see your efforts as a father as a wonderful contribution to our world.

In all past collaborative custody models a third party at minimum knows how much bitcoin you have, how it is stored and your exact threat model, and hold at least one key. If a gun is held to their heads you are in deep shit.

GM! If a collaborative custody provider has your real name and address realize they can send bad guys straight to your door armed with precise knowledge of how much Bitcoin you have and exactly how it is stored. This can happen via hack, malicious intent, or anyone will give up that info if a gun is pointed to their families’ head. They don’t have to be a bad actor, the KYC data and knowledge of your self custody setup is the enemy. It will always leak eventually.

No trying to separately install, manage, and connect a node or electrum server yourself.

People claiming this is not possible are living in the BTC equivalent of the Stone Age. Go out and touch grass.

GM! A tough spicy truth: Mac desktop is by far the best place for Bitcoin despite sadly being closed source. For a large BTC stack you really want the extra real estate of a desktop sized screen. Windows has become KYC-ed spyware and insecure af. Linux is open source and fun but typically has the worst support and most unstable apps, you will commonly run into UX issues and bugs not present in the comparable Windows and Mac apps . Mac is the most secure and stable option. Hopefully this changes, but it’s the hard truth for now.

GM! Is it really sovereign self custody if you have a hard dependency on an outside company and 99.9% of users will never understand or even try the non-standard exit system?

You’re better than that, it’s not hard. Take an hour, watch a nostr:nprofile1qqspnzgrfett3asxcuj0gksje6z2zxzpvgd27uvz58m9vsuqh8zzw6cpz3mhxue69uhhyetvv9ujuerpd46hxtnfduq3wamnwvaz7tmjv4kxz7tn9ejxjem8dahjucm0d57057ck video, put your seed in steel, and do a service for your family.

GM! Multisig while you’re alive and stacking, singlesig after you’ve passed and your family needs your inheritance and legacy. This is the future with timelocks and it’s awesome.

The BTC self custody setup you want when you are alive and have your full mental faculties is wildly different than the setup you want after you die or have a traumatic brain injury and your family needs to inherit you coins. This is the amazing super power of timelocks.

GM! Cloud backups are just saving your BTC to someone else’s computer and hoping they will let you access it in an emergency. I don’t want my stack to live and die by the good graces of Google and Apple.
