Long story short, your kids might enjoy a rock tumbler experiment with some of those stones after your trip is over.. 🥂

I went up to the smokey mountains a few years back and went to one of those little tourist trap mine thingys and paid for a bucket of dirt and sifted it in there little wash plant thingy. I found some cool stones there and when I got home I ordered one of those rock tumbler thingys and put them in there. The transformation of some of the rocks was really awesome. The tumbler was v noisy tho and it took like 3 days on different settings to smooth them. I ended up putting it in the garage after the first hour. It sounded like a load of rocks in the dryer... 🥴😄
