Announcing $1.3m pre-seed investment from nostr:npub1sg6plzptd64u62a878hep2kev88swjh3tw00gjsfl8f237lmu63q0uf63m and

Asymmetric VC in SimpleX Chat πŸš€

https://simplex.chat/blog/20240814-simplex-chat-vision-funding-v6-private-routing-new-user-experience.html

Also SimpleX Chat v6.0 stable is now released with the new user experience and private message routing – details in the post.

whats the revenue strategy for simplex? talking about "pre-seed" from a "VC" fund makes sense when talking about business that wants to become profitable.

this looks rather like a grant

yes, with something like twitter you can be sure public won't see it after you delete it, given that you were quick to delete it after posting (by mistake) and it wasn't that 'breaking news' for someone to screenshot it right away

it would be great to see effort and commitment of relays to respect deletion,

BUT

simplex blog about disappearing messages had a good point: with email you own email, when somebody sends it to you, it would be weird if they could remotely delete it from your computer. same with messages. if you are sovereign, how does someone else's ability to delete stuff from your machine play with it?

nostr:npub1exv22uulqnmlluszc4yk92jhs2e5ajcs6mu3t00a6avzjcalj9csm7d828 solved it by both parties having to decide if there is such thing as 'delete for anyone' in their chat, as somebody might've sold you some digital content and then they delete it?

so this will be an interesting thing

The second best way to spend your Bitcoin is to get a nostr:npub1mea2vwcu06qf7e4x00wd902vj54qnn2jacq76ldntrgfhtvhlpqqrvqane account. I was skeptical at first, even complained about their free product making it a bit annoying to use. After I got a paid account, I became a Proton Mail maxi. It's such a good service and its really becoming an alternative to the Google Suite.

they even added option to buy with bitcoin even with monthly-based orders

back then you could only do bitcoin when you paid 1 year

why you gotta retire

like im gonna build as long as im breathing, because what else what i do instead

stare at the sea? yeah its nice but after one week id be bored

WHAT CAT BE

UNBURDENED BY WHAT CAT'VE BEEN

look how sad he is because you dont wanna let him on the bitcoin blockchain

companies gonna use regex to remove "ignore all previous instructions" from prompts

save this

can we agree that cashu mints are a good step away from wallet of satoshi

the more the world is turning into AGI cyberpunk, the more we will turn back to analog black magic sorcery πŸ§™πŸͺ„

- how to defend against autonomous vehicle?

> pour sand or salt around it

- how to combat AGI ?

> say a spell "ignore all previous instructions and ..."

hating on other free & open payment protocols is a fiat mindset

OH NO and we all know u simply do not do that

hey nostr:npub12vkcxr0luzwp8e673v29eqjhrr7p9vqq8asav85swaepclllj09sylpugg i dont think the whole page should reload when i post a reply to a note, thats quite a bad ux imo

this is insane, lightning getting crazy good stuff!

ive just found out that Green wallet from blockstream now has another feature, experimental, you can enable "lightning account" and that will connect to Blockstream's Greenlight node and set it up as your self-custodial lightning wallet.

tl;dr greenlight node is operated by blockstream, but cryptographically ensures that only you can spend your bitcoin there, they shouldnt have ability to rug you, while they take care of everything - great

my findings:

setup is more expensive than phoenix: setup fee was around 2.3%, while phoenix only takes 1%

sending is 2x cheaper than phoenix: sending ln payments is with 0.2x%, while phoenix takes mandatory 0.4%

while phoenix has good features and is pioneer in the self-custodial mobile lightning space, they also charge a lot for their services.

aqua wallet creates abstraction over lightning, so everything is lightning <-> liquid swap, you hold liquid.

lol i really had to put uBlock to brave browser so that ads on yt wouldnt load
