In my case, several factors played a role: the confiscatory greed of the government raising taxes ridiculously over the last decade, my #libertarian roots, the feeling of a lack of real #freedom in this society, my background as a software engineer giving me a true love for #technology, and my habit of saving and investing in something that won’t go to zero. #Bitcoin was the natural choice.

Hey #Nostr community, I'm curious. What does #Bitcoin mean to you? Everyone has their own story and perspective, shaped by their unique experiences and circumstances.
For some I’ve asked, it’s "true money" or "unconfiscable property". For others—like me—it’s #freedom and #privacy, a way to keep my wealth away from an unwanted "partner" like the government—as an European, I think I already pay enough taxes 😭.
Some even see it as the doom of modern states, the ultimate resistance to the Leviathan.
Bitcoin carries so many meanings, and each one offers a new insight or lesson I might not have considered.
