Being scared is one of the primal emotions. You need to make a binary decision. Fight or flight kicks in. Learned to use that fear to learn from it. Understand it then adapt.

There are a lot of great people out there.

I don't think we are to that part of the story even though some of us are much farther along.

Realistically I do not see Bitcoin as a standard currency in the same way we don't use gold on a day to day basis.

In the US it would take an act of Congress to change a currency. That also means they would have to vote to accept the CBDC. Keep in mind that the dollar is not a Federal Note.

I applaud you if that's what you need to do. Even as one of the safest medicines on the planet people can still abuse it and take it irresponsibly. It also isn't for everyone. Nothing wrong with being sober.

I'm a stage 4 cancer victim that has been at the battle for 5 years, multiple rounds of chemo, radiation, and surgeries. I used no pain medication and only cannabis. My team of doctors are amazed with my strength and progress. Now I only partake on the weekends.

"Progressive" to me often refers to an individual that uses more emotion than logic to make quick decisions. It's almost as if they have lived a sheltered life with little to no experience in the difficult life decisions they have to make. Almost as if they are out of their league.

On the flip side, since "progressives" are so wishy washy they are good artistically and occasionally come up with some odd left field idea that work. They are like the useful idiot that's great for figuring out the problem in something.

I'm nobody but I plan on doing that build in about a year so prices drop. I've been running a Ryzen 7 4700g for 3-4 years now. I ditched Windows about 3 years and dipped into the Linux world. The main use for my PC is web browsing, Blu-ray ripping, and retro gaming. Still waiting for a really usable solution (GrapheneOS is close) to ditch iOS or Android.

Next projects might include a new 5G modem, 110v desktop Bitcoin miner (replace my Raspberry Pi Umbrel full node), and a weather station.

I think nowadays people are one, quick to make a reply and two, want to argue. I feel as if the internet 30 years ago was more about helping each other with common computer issues and giving other information like an encyclopedia. We were all in the same boat trying to figure out this new technology. Zoomers live in a world of right now and bitch if they don't have it.

I'm mean seriously what do you expect? You act like you don't know how any of this works. As if someone was really going to provide you with "proof" you might be willing to believe. LOL!

Then join the Israeli army and find out for yourself.

I wouldn't be surprised is Mossad is involved. The world's best intelligence agency somehow managed to drop the ball and not know that Hamas was about to invade. Right.

Friendly reminder to add 2FA to all of your online accounts that you can.

Today somebody successfully signed in to my personal Microsoft account and thankfully I saw the “unusual activity” email about 10 minutes later. I logged in, changed my already complex, 20 random-generated-character password and added 2FA that I should’ve had the whole time. Thankfully I didn’t have any saved payment info or anything else too sensitive accessible within the account.

A little later I reviewed my account sign in activity and to my horror found a list of 50+ unsuccessful sign-in attempts from various devices, browsers, IP addresses, foreign locations, and unknown locations dating back to early October 😳🤨😠 Then I started getting pissed at Microsoft for only emailing me once the attacker made it in…

That triggered Karen-mode in me and I wanted to speak with a manager 😂 Naturally it was very tough to find an actual phone number while they try to funnel you into online help menus. I found one off Google and the automated prompts guided me to use their website and hung up on me 🤬 I called back and pretended I wanted to buy something which of course gives me a human right away. I immediately asked her to transfer me to an account security department and she said that doesn’t exist… $2.75 TRILLION dollar market cap and they choose not to spend resources on a helpful account security call center… 🙄 she nicely transferred me to “accounts & billing” after I explained my situation a bit. The 2nd human explained a little about how the “unusual activity” notifications are automatic and was describing conditions such as foreign country or multiple attempts in short time that raise their unusual activity flags. I repeated to her that the failed attempts in my account qualify for those conditions but I never received notice. Before I could ask she said she would give feedback to the account security dev team and my call recording would be saved. I asked if I could receive feedback and she said no.

The main password vulnerability possibilities I can think of are when I’ve used public WiFi without a VPN. Or maybe my complex password was brute forced somehow? 🤷🏻 To conclude I’ll tap the 2FA sign one more time 😉

Sounds as if they created the problem with their crap service, sell you another solution (2FA) to gather your information to further exploit you. Did I get that wrong?
