Working late so relocated to the one remaining LGBTQ+ pub in Wakefield. Beer is bloody awful but at least I can feel a bit safer.

I’m fighting the urge to completely shut down and hide, and let me tell you, that urge is the worst it’s ever been. It’s rubbish.

Went to the dentist for a check-up. Had to rebook because their equipment is "away for repair". It'd have been nice to have known that before schlepping off.

Picked up a couple of 7s though - ones by Reef, Bullet For My Valentine and Kaiser Chiefs.

Managed to drop the bag on the way back to the office, thankfully a cheap one (not in the list above) was the only casualty.

Lunch the next problem. Not sure what to do about that. Possibly Spoons.

I am now at the point where every bit of joy in my life is gradually being removed, piece by piece. The toilet stuff, the voting scandals, the "oh no I'll do that job, you don't do that any more", the personal stuff I don't want to write here, it's all *shit*.

I've got an intriguing one disassemblng this ROM and wonder if it was common on embedded stuff. This pattern appears quite a lot in disassembled code:

LDA $AAAA

LDA #$FF

I'm quite sure the second op overwrites whatever happened in the first op (which makes LDA $AAAA superfluous). Os this some magic foo on the 6502 to (eg.) force a reset?

(CS lines has this reading from the EPROM in this case, and A12..A15 aren't connected either so it masks...)
