Aaand the coin is still spinning on the table...
#[0] 1000
It is a free file hosting website created by v0i (kieran) -the main developer behind snort.social.
I can see most of the voidcat files in amethyst, and in browser too, no idea why you cannot access it.
I have been advocating for better clientside spam filtering tools (similar post blocking etc.) instead of paid relays. I was suprised to get really bad response from the payrelay crowd. I think the uncensored "wind west" type of global feed is an important feature of nostr.
Thankfully nostr is an open protocol, and one can choose to use the client that has the features, or code his own one.
btw. I found your post from the amethyst global. I did not follow you before.
Amethyst has this "report spam/scam" -feature, and the global is also filtered based on the reports of your follows (I suppose). It usually works quite well, and my global is usable even if I am loading from 20+ free relays.
The shitcoin aspect was new for me as it is not advertised in finland. I had to delibrately search for it in the app.
Clearly a broken insentive structure.
Just a first time parent thing. :D
- Another one is buing all the expensive baby-gadgets as new - only to be disgarded 0,5 years later as the baby grows. Some might not be used even once.
You will not do the same mistakes twice.
The badges will eventually show in your client and in your public profile. There is not yet official versions of clients that have the feature.
I think accepting and making the badges should also be a feature of a client eventually.
Snort has a beta version on how the badges would look in here: https://badges.snort-social.pages.dev/
So could the nip58 badges be used to create endorsed skill portfolio like in linkedin?
Would you care broadcaating the explanation? Cannot see #[3] reply, and I even have 24 relays connected in Amethyst, 11 which are same than the sender.
Is it a reasonable task? Signal seems to be doing a pretty good work.
Current problems:
- Nostr private messages encrypted, but the recipients are not. People can see who you are chatting with.
- Whole history compromised if recepients nsec key is revealed.
- No media sending. All media is currently shared in nostr as links to a hosting service.
What is #hellthread?
In the older version, the zap would irregularly just not load - so an error message is an improvement.
I updated to the latest also, and I get the same error now too :D. It's clearly a WoS thing as I can zap people using different providers.
Propably I will cahnge the lighting adress provider for myself as it seems that WoS has almost daily problems. Recommendations?
Amethyst 18.3. already out? I updated just yesterday (10h ago) and got version 18.1. from github.
Boy!
