ok so I just ordered a 2nd adapter. this is from a more reputable company (in the 2013-2015 era of MacBook SSD replacement niche) & I hope this makes it work lol

put all the screws back into the #mac now I just need to order a different M.2 NVME SSD --> MacBook SSD slot adapter to make it work (hoping that the SSD isn't the issue, shouldn't be tho)

lol ok so I put in the new SSD but it’s sorta freaking out and getting warm, but not showing up in DiskUtility

Now booting into Windows 10 installer to see if I can reformat the drive.
