Yes and I think we have quite a few options. Nothing beats self-hosting, e.g. with nostdress. I had no problem zapping your nostrich.house address, but I'm guessing that's another fully custodial one that will eventually need to bend the knee with Alby, Primal, and the rest someday.

You might be a Nostr Elite if...

1) You have over 1000 followers, but only post every couple of days or weeks.

2) You are famous from "someplace else", so you don't feel like you need to prove anything to anyone and expect everyone to recognize you from there.

3) You hardly follow anyone else, who isn't an elite, or your follow list is stale and you don't care.

4) You rarely repost anyone else's stuff or hang out in their threads.

5) You rarely respond to mentions or tags, unless they're from another elite, and you feel put-upon by them.

6) You don't actively search for new npubs to follow or interact with.

7) You mostly repost things you've posted elsewhere.

8) You post things and then only respond for a short time.

9) When someone reposts you, you don't feel curious to find out more about them.

10) You think there is no Nostr Elite.

Not with the distributed relays - too difficult. There won't ever be significant adoption of a distributed social media system. We need something different.

The goal is adoption, not a limited club for just a few though? Sure I could benefit in the future from standing out before people pick up nostr en mass... but I don't care for that notoriety stuff. I'm not a people pleaser.

But, Stats don't lie, most of the world is mobile when it comes to social media.

Even more so if we are trying to get the 18-25 age range to secure the future of bitcoin, nostr, and the general cause we are all here for?

Sleek and intuitive is how we win imo.

Things need to be simple and appealing.

How do we turn nostr into a service for the general public that they understand and need?

The UK tax code is over 10 million words long. At this point, it’s just a game of who has the most resources and scale to optimize against that. Individuals and small business have no chance.

The amount of lost time and productivity due to dealing with income taxes nationwide is insanely high.

The number of accountants, lawyers, and auditors that work full time on it, plus the percent of time that small business owners and individual taxpayers have to dedicate to it each year, costs an uncountable total number of lost hours per year. And just as bad, it requires a ubiquitous massive surveillance apparatus on all sorts of income to enforce itself.

No taxes are enjoyable, but income taxes are really the most counter-productive and onerous ones. Taxes on properties, imports, and retail sales have so much of a lighter touch to track and collect than income taxes.
