Indeed, they are enabling it, but I think like any vice its all about how you handle it, if you have disposible income and self control and you use these prediction markets as a little entertainment, I don't see why it can't be a bit of fun, like you do spending your money on video games!

I would have to say that his life is much simpler this way. He doesn’t have to dodge people like celebrities do. Nor get asked 50 million times a day to give to this non profit or charity etc.

it was bitcoiners who sat on their hands for the first 5 years and said "nobody has ever been prosecuted via blockchain analysis." a few of them stopped saying that after it started happening but most of them still don't care. they are intellectually lazy and not proactive. and now they are going to sit on their hands and pretend that shoving everyone into a custodian is not a big deal, even after everything from mt gox to ftx. they are not the sharpest crayons in the box.
