18 yo founder chakany.systems to restore sovereignty to the internet use my relay: wss://relay.chakany.systems building hoot.sh - trad-email killer for privacy and in-home building talon.quest now

This is cool, but I would rather be able to use curl and in some nostr apps (like nblog) I would prefer to just be able to make a one off http request on the server rather than opening a websocket connection.

Starting off the ux is pretty terrible, half the time notifications just say "message received" (isn't the reason I choose the least private way to receive notifications so I can actually read what they say from my lock screen?)

The app is slow and rife with bugs, especially inside of group chats. It just gets more and more unstable. For a while the message read counter wouldn't even update for me.

No desktop support yet.

Technically it's a beast for privacy but i'm honestly not sold yet on the overall experience of using the app.

This would also be a fantastic stepping stone for implementing "file relays", where images could be stored in binary formats instead of text

Lol no. There's a reason NIP-95 hasn't been merged

Introducing NIP-101, a standard way of doing HTTP Requests with Relays for data.

nostr:npub1xtscya34g58tk0z605fvr788k263gsu6cy9x0mhnm87echrgufzsevkk5s have you considered using njump by nostr:npub180cvv07tjdrrgpa0j7j7tmnyl2yr6yr7l8j4s3evf6u64th6gkwsyjh6w6 for damus.io note redirects instead of leading to snort? Would be much better for link previews
