I think you just answered your own question about how to have a real relationship with God as a person
He was asking Christians, if you’re not a Christian, that’s totally fine. No worries. But it’s rather disingenuous of you to respond to a question that was not addressed to you.
It takes time. Just like any other relationship, it takes time to build. It starts out with a simple faith, but if you really love somebody, then you want to get to know them more.
The only way to do this is to meditate on the word of God, share time with other believers, and participate in the traditions of the church - as watered down as they are these days…
I came to Faith in my mid 20s out of a life of psychedelics and nihilism. I had no desire whatsoever to become a Christian, I wasn’t looking for purpose or lonely or anything like that. I just realized one day that if there is such a thing as absolute truth, then “it” must be absolutely exclusive . That’s when I started reading the new testament, and it was almost as if the words were alive. I wouldn’t even get into the Trinity and how God is both centralized and decentralized….
As the years went on, the “it” turned into a “Him.” And now I am at the point where I know God so well that I can actually anticipate his providence to a degree and talk to him in a non-schizo way.
Anyway, I hope this helps.
Oh yea…. Found this beauty in Big Lots!

It’s not just the players handbook it’s also the dungeon, masters guide, monster, manual, and more! 🤓
For real!!! Thanks for the heads up
Much of what passes itself these days as the church is not the actual church. The church submits itself to the truth of the word of God, regardless the consequences. You know the words, they submit to reality and it’s laws. This is actually where modern science came from. It was the protestant Reformation and insistence on dealing with reality rather than Catholic superstitions that solidified modern science. Unfortunately, over the years enlightenment thinking corrupted both the church and science i to believing that “man” is in the center of everything rather than God. Substitute the word “truth” or logos for God if you must…
As amazing as this is, and it is amazing. The part that I just keep getting hung up on at the end of the day is that this all comes down to networking and community building. It’s like pulling teeth to get somebody to use the lightning network, let alone create a Federation.. I just don’t see how or why anyone would use this in real life. I’m talking about the day-to-day, boring as hell, juggling kids, late to baseball practice, gotta pick something up for dinner, finally a day off on Sunday, life that 95% of people live. Don’t get me wrong, I am going to continue trying to build my local bitcoin meet up here in Statesville, I’m going to try to push people to use this tech. But I just can’t help feel like it’s a solution to a problem that no one even cares about or realizes exists. If you truly want to see the bitcoin network grow, then start funding family and micro businesses, - entrepreneurs, who are barely making it in small towns all over the world. But still get up every day and do it because they would rather be barely making it and be free, then be rich but a slave to a corporate salary. I’m Talking about restaurants, bike shops, coffee, houses, health food stores, private pharmacies, Ice cream shops, Bookstores, etc. back their business with a couple bitcoin grant and tell them that they can draw on those funds for business expenses, as long as they accept bitcoin payments on a discount and market, a bitcoin meetup to their community. Maybe they also have to run a bitcoin and lightning node, and create a federation. One thing that will always be true: money talks, bullshit walks…. The reason the state always beats us is because they flood their NGOs with more printed money than they could ever need. I’m not saying that we do that, what I’m saying is you find hard-working honest family businesses to support, they are the tip of the spear. Why do you think the government has been trying to destroy them for the last 30 years? OK and rant.
The best way to HODL is to engage in a form of self induced cognitive dissonance. Once you put your bitcoin in cold storage, it no longer exists.
Have another bag that you hold in case of a rainy day. And have another one for a short term surprises.
There are hundreds of small town ‘downtowns’ all over the USA just waiting to be reclaimed and revitalized. The US used to revolve around the downtown.
Who is using #fedi?
I think the reason that Germany is selling so much #bitcoin is because the leftist politicians think that if they can tank the price then it won’t be such a big voting issue….
My youngest son (eight-year-old) just bought the dip! He just came in my office with $13 and said daddy, can you please put this into #bitcoin for me?
Happy 4th of July weekend!!!

Awesome episode. https://youtu.be/Oa49waMnqh4?si=aNad5_KBgkT-Ysiu
Thank you for the encouragement! Will do!!
I’ve been listening to Jeff Booth make his case about the two different systems and for those who know what I’m talking about, I have the perfect industry to illustrate his point.
The cannabis industry, specifically industrial hemp processing I’ve been in the industry for six years, and I have literally been living every single thing that nostr:npub1s05p3ha7en49dv8429tkk07nnfa9pcwczkf5x5qrdraqshxdje9sq6eyhe has been saying.
It’s probably because this industry is not regulated at all. We are punished by the banks, regulated mega corporations and the government as much as possible, but nevertheless innovation proceeds. Delta8 THC is the perfect example of this. Delta9 THC has more regulations for both the consumer and the producer that it’s almost not even worth the time. So chemists in the free market figured out how to move one of the double carbon bonds over and created Delta8 THC made from industrial hemp, which has zero regulations. Now the regulators are coming for it because it’s competing with Delta9 THC.
Nevertheless, industrial Hemp has no regulations. The cost to make the products is practically nothing. This is why so many of those little CBD shops go out of business because it’s basically a race to the bottom, but this is where Jeff’s thesis shines, because once the cheapest materials are used, and the lowest prices is reached then there is a bounce of quality - people start getting educated and start looking for a product that’s better made with healthier materials and more active ingredients with benefits. they are willing to spend a little bit more. This is all because of the free market
Can somebody recommend a good bitcoin documentary that is not too long, but explains what bitcoin is and something of the history behind it? Something that would be good to share with new bitcoiners
