Christians,

Help me out here.

How does one feel strongly about Jesus? How does one have a personal relationship with Christ?

In general I feel very little or nothing when I think about god and he exists to me more as a vague concept.

Any advice?

Well for starters

Jesus was a mere mortal human .. a black man

The pale blue eyed fictional Disney character image of Jesus they brainwashed everyone in the west to believe is an absolute farce

He was a great guy but he is not God

Waking up everyday able bodied should bring you closer to God

“God existed way before Jesus” and most christian pastors assert this John 14:6

Respectfully, Biblically this is not accurate.

This thread isn’t really the place to debate the topic.

Since one verse was referenced incorrectly (John 14:6 does not state that God existed before Jesus. )

John 14:6 is Jesus speaking “Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”

That verse being cleared up; John actually begins his book with 1:1 which states “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.”

Theologians around the world agree that the term “The Word” in English (Logos in Greek which was the language John wrote and spoke in) is a reference to Jesus, drawing upon and connecting to the Genesis account.

He was asking Christians, if you’re not a Christian, that’s totally fine. No worries. But it’s rather disingenuous of you to respond to a question that was not addressed to you.
