Yea, in February my wife’s elderly aunt suddenly passed away and she spent a month out of town with her uncle to help; which turned into “Uncle Robert is moving to where we live”.

So 2025 has been a transition of my time being spent a dedicated amount each week with aging family that live near us.

Meanwhile our teenage son is on the go-go-go with Basketball and the gym. So lots of chauffeuring!

I’ve often struggled with the “how to contribute” part since I’m not currently a coder and don’t desire to return to such.

Your “if you can document, document” hits home with me.

I’m good at communicating through writing and codifying ideas via visual models.

So one commitment I made in 2025 was my “published first on NOSTR” M.O.

Sadly my audience and most my clients for business are not ready for NOSTR, but they sure gain exposure to it because when I do cross post on other platforms or on my website; it is all tagged with “Published first on NOSTR” with a link to the NOSTR Read / Article.

It’s small but it’s how I’m able to contribute at this time.

Another thing I was mostly consistent at this year was “if it’s worth a Like, Comment, ReNote or QuoteNote; it’s worth a #zap “ campaign (if you’d call it that).

But I did my best to zap as frequently as I could, even if it was only a few Sats.

Which brings me to the last little win I’d reflect on, several times this year I spent sats for goods/services.

You can sniff this stuff out a mile away.

I have a colleague whom I swear replies solely to the summaries her email client gives her cause half the time I’m like “but you didn’t address ABC…”

Is there a structured (recommended order) “reading list” to start reading Mises institute / Austrian Economics / Austro Libertarian writings?

Perhaps from broad to narrow or intro to depth?

I’d like to take some time to really ponder that, but on the surface three things jump out to me:

1. Be the change I want to see…so I need to create more in 2026 (life circumstances interrupted the second half of 2025)

2. More people joining and bringing expanded topics) heavy dev and Bitcoin speak on NOSTR

3. To facilitate point 2, I envision more community use of NOSTR. I looked into it early 2025 for my community, but while NOSTR is great for me, my audience is behind the times 😆

I don’t even know what’s real anymore…

Especially this as:

1. I don’t watch news or politics so this might of actually happened.

2. I can totally see and hear Trump behaving like that

3. If this is a deep fake it’s one of the best as usually there are facial cues and ambient artifacts which leave visual clues that it’s fake.

But man I’d have to watch this one a few more times to determine

I’ve always wondered, in an HOA is it not the home owner that sells the house and then the buyer can reject the HOA rules?

Seems like one should be able to reject policy as the policy of an HOA is not lawful.

When one buys a home in an HOA community, is there really a forced contract between buyer and HOA? If so it seems the HOA owns the home and not the seller 🤷‍♂️

Broke one of my rules today—and of course it back fired 🫣

We have rules, agreements really, for a reason.

Call them rules, bumpers, guardrails, whatever…but when we violate the rules, we tend to experience negative consequences.

Thankfully the rule I broke was not a day breaker but it did affect me.

I justified it in the name of relationships, which in my view is what leadership is all about.

So I willingly sacrificed to make something happen, then the other party didn’t uphold their end of the agreement.

…in hind sight was it ok to break my rule in the name of relationship or no, I should have stuck to my rule 🤷‍♂️
