I’d say Peru is probably the place to go. Ten years ago we spent a good amount of time around Pucallpa and Iquitos traveling and learning from local teachers. A lot has changed since then– the gringo resorts have popped up everywhere, so it really depends on how much you value ‘comfort’ over authenticity. Best is word of mouth and you probably won’t find a genuine curandero online. Doesn’t make either experience better or worse, just different and ultimately depends on your goals, willingness to fork over a load of cash, working knowledge of Spanish, etc.

How does one find a legitimate ayahuasca experience in South America without being murdered or robbed?

This year I set the kids a challenge to teach key management :)

1. We create a brand new bitcoin seed each (12 words)

2. We deposit $365 of bitcoin to each seed ($1 a day)

3. Each kids has to secure these 12 words for 1 year from their parents.

4. If they can recover the wallet in 1 year they get the bitcoin as spending money.

5. If we (or anyone else!) discover it bitcoin gone, lessons learned.

Will do check ins every 3 months I think and I'll slowly add in various approaches to how to secure things as we go.

Oldest is 10 so this is serious money to them :)

They are very excited for this :)

Believe it or not, all my notes have only one intention: to convey the truth. If some of them have upset you, that's not my problem; it's just that reality is sometimes harsh.

I didn't meet all my goals, but I exceeded some of them. For example, I didn't expect to reach 16,500 followers; I was aiming for 5,000.

On the other hand, where I failed was on the stack. I expected to reach at least 0.1 BTC. In the end, I barely managed to reach half that — until yesterday, I was still at 0.04 BTC.

But there is also something that was not planned for, and which far exceeds all the numerical targets mentioned above: your trust.

My greatest achievement is having managed to earn it. Honestly, it was not something I had included in my forecasts. Trust cannot be planned or forced—it is built, day after day, note after note.

Beyond the numbers, that's what really matters. Everything can be measured except trust. And yet, today on Nostr, that's my most valuable asset.
