The setting up of the new laptop with Linux Mint has now been completed. I can confirm the laptop in question is running at full speed now.
Microsoft Windows really can cripple a laptop to a point it laptop is unusable and I suspect that it is deliberately done!

Starting to think what I want to do workwise as most of what I used to do for work now fires off my anxiety.
Plus I do not want to go back to customer service as people are so rude and aggressive nowadays.

This weekend my mind has not been in the right place as any mention or reminders of my Cancer has almost got me in tears. I know I am going to have dark moods because of it but it does not make it any easier.

Finishing off the set up of Linux Mint on the second hand laptop. All the data is almost transferred and still cuffed the laptop now is fast once again.🙂

Once again Linux Mint with the xfce desktop has impressed me which in the last few years has come on leaps and bounds in its usability and functionality.
This is at total variance to Windows development which is always two steps forward, one step backwards!

Still in the process of setting up the new laptop with Linux Mint and doing the longest process transferring the data from the old to the new laptop. There is some 160+ Gb of data.
