What podcast of yours should I listen to if I am currently of the belief that progressive ideology is weak and unprincipled.......I'm open to having my mind changed, but tbh I've never met a progressive that seemed to be operating from first principles......maybe because that would be a Communist? Idk
It's about time!! This was my only big complaint with Wasabi2.0
Fingers crossed for some Halving block fireworks!!!
TLDR:
With fees back up, it reinforceds the theory that the halving block could have an insane amount of fees attached......like 10+ bitcoin or something. Because of NFT/stamp dipshits
If this is the case, and certain large pools don't mine that block, it may be worth mining on the previous block to try and outrun the original solvers chain, causing a reorg and "stealing" that coveted block from whoever mined it first.
If this doesn't happen I expect the halving to be pretty pedestrian.
🤞🤞🤞🎉🎉🎉
The auction is a great user experience, pretty fun!
A single custodian now controls the coinbase addresses of at least 9 pools, representing 47% of total hashrate.
It's time to consider a different type of mining pool like Ocean.xyz
Ocean is a non-custodial #bitcoin mining pool. It was relaunched recently by nostr:npub1lh273a4wpkup00stw8dzqjvvrqrfdrv2v3v4t8pynuezlfe5vjnsnaa9nk nostr:npub1wnlu28xrq9gv77dkevck6ws4euej4v568rlvn66gf2c428tdrptqq3n3wr with support from nostr:npub1sg6plzptd64u62a878hep2kev88swjh3tw00gjsfl8f237lmu63q0uf63m
Few understand this and even fewer seem to care.
It's surprising to me that people love to judge others in using custodial lightning (me included) but nobody seems to care about the fact that 99+% of mining is done with reliance on a custodian.
Some thoughts on my recent trip to ES
Seeing a Bitcoin circular economy actually beginning to work in El Zonte was pretty inspiring.
People are almost exclusively keeping the Bitcoin they receive, even with an easy option to convert to USD.
People are respending Bitcoin in the community. I saw this first hand from several locals. One, told me "I can't seem to hold Bitcoin for long". And she showed me her tx history which was dozens of payments to other locals.
People don't hesitate or act funny when you ask to pay in Bitcoin, for most of El Zonte it's either Cash or Bitcoin. Most places don't accept Credit Cards.
3 years ago Bitcoin Twitter was over hyping El Zonte's Bitcoin adoption......now, it might actually be understated!
Most of ES is not this way, but the progress that has been made in 3 years is still very impressive.
Consider a Bitcoin Pilgrimage to El Zonte and see for yourself
You should rename the Bitcoin Network Access Office(BNAO)
It should now be Bitcoin Access Network Kiosk(BANK).
I'm not sure if you're intentionally scamming people or if you are just this naïve, but the result is the same....people will get scammed.
Yikes, when I briefly talked with you guys red flags were going off left and right. And after watching your videos they have been confirmed.
You are essentially recreating the same system we have now with a bunch of woo woo socialist fluff jargon.
What is the difference between a modern bank and your BNAO?!?!? Its just a middleman between producer and consumer
Why wouldn't community members simply pay each other in actual Bitcoin???
Idk if people are ready for this, but I believe the world is. First tests of USD Ecash. Backed by BTC.
Everyone can run a mint. Everyone can make a wallet. USD can be spent everywhere BTC is accepted. Open protocols all the way down. No gatekeepers. This is only possible because of the permissionless nature of Bitcoin.
You'll zap USD on Nostr and you'll be happy. It's going to be so insane.

So who is dealing with the "stabilization" of BTC to dollars? Is this similar to Blink wallet's "StableSats"?
Maybe, until you start to smell like tallow/beef. Nobody seems to mention this , but these guys smell a very specific way.....not a good way imo
This is a feature not a bug. It do the same thing and love it. So much productivity!!
