i scan the global timeline for people to follow regularly, but i must admit that there are a lot of accounts i don't want to follow because, while they aren't spamming, they just talk about Bitcoin all the time, so it's taking me time to build my network.
coracle.social doesn't seem to care about your relay list at all, because the Network tab in the Chrome Inspector is telling me it's talking to umpteen other relays too.
using filter.nostr.wine, i almost wish i could turn off the whole social graph thing in iris.to (which i use as my primary web client since i like the UI).
#[0] #[1] so i found a compatibility issue between filter.nostr.wine and snort.social: the latter uses the whole URL of the relay as the subscription ID, and the relay wants IDs between 1 and 71 characters, so it doesn't work.
now i'm also curious π

suggestion: add relay.mostr.pub to that relay list. it's a bridge to the Fediverse (Mastodon et al) and is often missing from people's relay lists.
just added filter.nostr.wine. seems to basically be like iris.to's social graph filter for the global timeline except it's a relay, which is handy when you're using other clients and want to avoid spam.
Damus doesn't do any filtering of the kind that iris.to does, so i just disable all the free relays in the global timeline and that gets rid of the spam, but unfortunately also users who aren't paying for access.
the random names that Iris assigns to people it doesn't have profile data on yet are funny sometimes. "Foolish Chinchilla" just liked my post.
i have an iPhone, and while i have tried out iris.to, what i normally use is Damus. iris.to is for web/desktop use only.

there are several? i only know of mostr.pub.
oh, if you go on nostrgram.co and tell it in the settings to view traffic from ALL relays and not just paid ones, it's full of bot spam.
