the Bitcoin universe has a lot of good content creators compared to the ActivityPub universe. it makes sense, since there are a lot of moneyed people there who are actually willing to pay creative professionals for freelance gigs. it gives Bitcoin a massive marketing advantage.

the translator in iris.to apparently doesn't handle Norwegian. not that i'm surprised. there were only 5.3 million native speakers as of 2020.

currently having a weird issue where iris.to (web) is only seeing like 24 followers while Damus (iOS) sees like 80. might be due to Iris'es social graph filter thing. i've got my relays set up to do that filtering for me already though, so i don't need that feature at all. it just wastes space and energy tracking my social graph.

yeah, some of them are not very careful about that. for clients that support backup/restore of profiles, doing that before experimenting with unfamiliar clients is a good idea. but yeah, they should really be asking permission before messing with your relay list.

cleaned up the code for Nostr Relay Check (https://nrcheck.tigerville.no) a bit more. now using Browserify and a bundle.js file to avoid all the hassle with CommonJS vs ESM vs NodeJS. might be useful to Shift+Refresh if you've used the tool before...
