The Cryptocurrency subreddit used to hand out a Moon shitcoin to people for engaging with the sub. It was even listed on Kraken and subsequently speculated on. Reddit rugpulled the token and sent it to basically zero, which pissed of the Crypto sub's users. nostr:npub18ams6ewn5aj2n3wt2qawzglx9mr4nzksxhvrdc4gzrecw7n5tvjqctp424 made a post on the sub explaining nostr and we've apparently had a mass migration as a result.
