Thinking about python, geospatial, forestry, and LiDAR in small-town Idaho.

Yes! I was able to push a post into a community, but as far as I can tell there was no moderation step and habla is currently just showing all submissions. The other platforms that are actually using moderation only do kind 1 for now.

Also no way yet to add existing posts to a community on any platform yet, but I could write and send those events on my own for now.

To be fair the NIP hasn’t even been merged yet. Do feel free to keep tagging me on any good content you find! I follow you so I will see your guides

I think I’ve got a template ready to go, but need to get a better idea of what community tools exist for long-form right now - seems like the moderation tools and clients are too sparse to make it function right now even with some python coding

Do any clients support moderation tools for long-form at this point? I know habla.news allows submissions…

Awesome. Hadn’t seen this new page yet! Need to read more about it, but I can’t wait to see how we can get identity trees to play with moderated communities.

Good thinking. The only thing is I wouldn’t keep it bound to clients. We’ve got a plethora of Nostr-related tool, e.g. nostr:npub1getal6ykt05fsz5nqu4uld09nfj3y3qxmv8crys4aeut53unfvlqr80nfm

I’ve got huge plans (which I’ll probably never achieve 😅) to cover all the essential apps that are built to improve user experience.

Would be nice to see all of such guides in one place. Luckily Habla now lets you post long-form posts into a community 🔥

I was thinking about what the scope should be. That’s a good point about tools like Alby. I would want it to remain user focused because I think that is one of the biggest challenges Nostr faces, but that’s a great point that it isn’t just clients.

Do these reports help even if we have no useful context for what happened? I never know if I should send a blank one

This is awesome. Thank you for making so many of these! Would you be interested in helping moderate if I start up a community with the sole purpose of soliciting long-form notes from devs to show users how a client works? 1 post per client/tool and I think the post should be nominated by the lead dev.

I am not confident I should be the one to make it but I would love to see something like that exist so that there is a single space for users to find ways to interact with the social graph.

And the admin panel wouldn’t even show an approve all kinds event?

Doesn’t it normally allow you to approve a single kind or everything? Or does that everything request have to be defined by the client request?

I’m in instance like this it would be great if the client could explicitly not allow the nsecBunker to vice more permissions than it needs. Otherwise users are an accidental button click away from giving more permissions that would ever be needed!

Guess I have to get walletconnect working now!

Would love to see a NostrClientShowcase community that just shares long-form posts from the devs showcasing their clients to users.

I have this problem where I see a post in my feed and then only vaguely remember it a week later. Would be a great community to sent new users to as well.

Nostr is all the exciting parts of “blockchain not bitcoin” but without the blockchain, without the scams, and with the bitcoin.

Lens protocol: when you have nothing else to do with your expensive, over-engineered database so you plug in social media and try to make it work.
