Images dont load directly from the relay. They are mostly just texting URLs embedded in the note, which are still being fetched through tor. Then Amethyst would fetch the image outside of tor after. If you fetched the images through tor it would likely be slower.
My other favorite hack is to set the screen to be black and white when you wake up. Makes you a little less likely psychologically to get sucked into social feeds with attention grabbing colors.
I also set the black and white toggle to 3 clicks of the power button

Turning on this mode did not fix my issue... Always gives an error that "they could not confirm this account belongs to you". This seems to be a known issue on the GrapheneOS forum as well
Really? I also went back and forth with support and determined it didn't support the OS... Will try again with exploit protection compatibility mode now.
