Might be a wash on average, but I did way more buying after the big puke than when it was at $69k, so he benefited me
I'd like to thank SBF for nuking bitcoin to $16k without him, I'd have way less bitcoin today.
My wife broke a rip in Laos. The hospital's X-Ray technician was also in charge of the parking lot. About a week later, we saw him light a fire outside the hospital to dispose of some garbage. A man of many talents. #perspective
I do wonder where all those billions circulate. Not on hodlhodl
Bitfinex sells it. Other shitcoin exchanges to. In terms of storage, it depends what chain USDT. I can tell you, you feel dirty going down that way because all those are shitcoin wallets and they all suck and USDT is a shitcoin on shitcoin chains. Mild exception is L-USDT using blockstream green wallet, that's kinda fine but other than that, bad UX, bad allaround ...
But considering that there's no liquidity for it anyway, all that is beside the point. Curious, do they use USDT in Costa Rica?
Surely that's gotta be a glitch in the matrix, no?
So get this: This pro-vaxxer moron Professor, the one slinging mud on twitter, wants to treat malnutrition with ... drumroll please ... steak. No, just kidding. He wants to use vaccines. Yes, you read that right. He wants to vaccinate against malnutrition.
Anybody using HODLHODL successfully? I’ve tried for a week now and there seems to be no liquidity
There’s an Iris desktop app now 👀
Pretty well summed up, yeah.
Did you know that we cannot even measure the human contribution to atmospheric carbon concentrations? If we could, the pandemic lockdowns would have affected the trend. They have not. The trend did not care about lockdowns. It went straight through, unchanged. So then where's the carbon coming from?
I listened to RFK on Rogan yesterday and it is clear to me that vested interest within the Democarts cannot have him, even if he polls well. My base case is that dems will pull a Bernie Sanders on RFK.
Why?
He's in favor of:
1.) reducing corruption of the 3 letter agencies.
2.) ending the war mongering
2 is an expensive propositions to the warlords behind the forever wars within the "military industrial complex", an entrenched part of the incentive complex of the deep state.
1 is not gonna go down well with people who benefit from said corruption. That's the donor class which are the large funders of campaigns and include Wall Street, Pharma and all others who benefit from regulatory capture, which are many very wealthy individuals.
It's an uphill battle for him and standing for these things is what has cost his family dearly. His uncle was killed over similar ideas and so was his father.
Democrats will do everything they can so that he does not make the ticket. We can see already how he's being framed in the media.
He knows that and does podcasts instead of traditional media.
Enough to win the ticket? This could be the Trump moment for democrats. Outsider, underdog sweeps in and polls well, establishment does not like him. New media format available (trump had twitter, RFK does pods) Many parallels.
In terms of politicians, RFK and Trump are not career politicians, outsiders coming in on a mission to clean the swamp. Trump failed at that. Can RFK make a change? Maybe? I would not hold my breath.
Staying humble, stacking sats is my political strategy instead of voting.
Still, interesting to watch all this unfold
Discourse on this "platform" is better than twitter, which is overrun with cry babies complaining about the new state of it. A lot of non-sense over there.
Facts I learned recently:
🟢🐻❄ population is fine
🟢 Arctic ice grows more than it shrinks
🟢 Greenland ice deposits had 10 good years most recently
🟢 Coral in the reef grows more than it shrinks
🟢 Temperature records are adjusted upwards by tHe sCiEnCe
Emergency? Where?
Too much for apple
Currently fixing my relay as it needs a few quality of life improvements (it was designed with nostr protocol as at 2021 when there were no users, few clients, and different nip1 parameters) so assumptions were made for optimizations).
But yes, I suggest an update first. I'm still heavily iterating on functionality and the btcpay plugin system is still in its infancy which causes incompatibility between versions of plugins and btcpay.
In the meantime, I'll create a dedicated channel somewhere so that BTCPay coinjoin users can provide direct feedback. Unsure if it should be on nostr, or our mattermost server (https://chat.btcpayserver.org)
Cool, just wanted to let you know in case you've not seen it. Looking forward to this and to having competition for the wasabi default coordinator
