it depends on what your plan is, for just a few people it will work for sure. But if you plan to add a few 1000 people then you have to go with a bigger droplet and also do not forget the disk usage as soon you have a lot of people on the relay.

i don’t think that there will be a performance penalty, as some parts of the infrastructure also use cloudflare… and they have a very good backbone environment and also good websocket knowledge.

are you happy with umbrel on a raspberry pi? I startet also with this setup, but everything feels slow… now on a nuc and it feels much better.
