Less government means they should be more efficient. But also we can actually hold people responsible for there actions and I think we are long due for holding our governments around the world accountable.

Thanks for posting the full context, but I'm still think he's missing the point. Which is that #nostr is an open source protocol, so even if they kill one app there will be 10 others there to try and replace it, the same can't be set for closed source code because people have to build a competitor from scratch, which is a way more daunting task then building an app on a protocol.
For me obtainium has multiple benefits:
1. You download it from the source (when available)
2. If 1 is not possible yeah can still download it from fdroid when available there.
Offcourse it would be cool if obtainium adds searching Nostr apps from the zap.store but we can only hope right 😜
Obtainium alerts you if there is an update aswell and you can search the app in multiple places like: github, gitlab, fdroid and a few more.
Which downloads the file from fdroid, I rather get it direct from source to be honest, so I can keep up with the changes.
Because no one owns #Nostr so you CAN'T be deplatformed, they can through you off a relay but there are a thousand more free relays that you can join or in the worst case you can spin up your own relay and go from there
