Behold: my very own retro nostr:npub18d4r6wanxkyrdfjdrjqzj2ukua5cas669ew2g5w7lf4a8te7awzqey6lt3 viewer!

I revamped this old Hanimex film editor with an LCD screen and a Raspberry Pi.

It operates a Python script that connects to my personal mempool instance on my nostr:npub1aghreq2dpz3h3799hrawev5gf5zc2kt4ch9ykhp9utt0jd3gdu2qtlmhct node.

Icing on the cake: it can even monitor transactions!

I created a custom Telegram bot to monitor transactions. By using the command /tx , I can check the status of a specific transaction.

If I use the command /reset, the mempool viewer resets itself.

Components:

- Hanimex E300 (case)

- Raspberry Pi 3b (any model will suffice)

- LCD screen (7.0 Inch CLAA070MA0ACW 800X600)

Some handiwork is required to fit it (Dremel recommended).

Very cool 😎

Oops posted the whole episode in my latest note. This is the rant

I am happy that I don´t live in a country with just two parties but I still dont belive that any one of them could do any good for me

Everything you need to know about using freerse.

https://freerse.com/help-center

“what is nostr ?”

Nostr is a decentralized network protocol for distributed social network systems. Nostr consists of three parts.

1. The user has the account ID public key and the account password private key.

2. Client created by developers.

3. Relay operators who operate servers to store data.

Nostr has a wealth of web, Android, and iOS clients from all over the world. There are also 2351 relays from around the world that store data. Users can freely log in to different clients without losing their Nostr account social information, data and contacts. There are also relays for data storage from different countries to ensure that user data is not coerced. To ensure the decentralization of Nostr.Freerse is one of the clients built on the nostr protocol.

Nostr logs in through the account password and private key. Only the user has his own account password and private key. Once he has the account private key, he controls the account rights. Users will not be coerced by clients, enterprises and relays. Protect your private key and do not send it to anyone. No one, company, client or relay knows your private key. No one or organization can delete your account.

The Nostr protocol was created by fiatjaf. Twitter co-founder Jack Dorsey is financially backing Nostr's development.

#Freerse

I have started using Freerse exclusively on my phone now. I really enjoy the slick design and ease of use. I would like an easier way to do DMs, like a contact list or something in the message section.

Still syncing. At 88%, was pretty fast up to around 60% but been very slow lately. Increased the cache size this morning, will see if that helps.

GM! #nostr

Gonna have a chill saturday morning and try the new fortnite season with my son, together with some coffee of course!
