Yeah, you need one anyway if you want to convert to EUR/USD and pay your suppliers. You simply can't expect merchants to run their own node.

I honestly think it’s short sighted to not think about this issue and just cast it into the future.
Not arguing that we can get to a decisive answer or that it will become a problem, but labeling discussions about it as fear mongering is not productive imo.
So we have an empty mempool, F2Poool censoring transactions, Foundry getting bigger than ever and Mara cozying up with the president.

Yeah good question. The thing that I don’t like is that I don’t have a say: if somebody just pays the zap he will be visible. I’m not a slave, I like to choose my sponsors. That’s what I can do on other platforms. And if ads are played before my videos it’s clear that they are ads, it’s just a little less in your face. That’s maybe my second problem, that it’s just too much like the old world: ads ads ads ads everywhere.
That being said, with some tweaks it could be a pretty dope business model.
I honestly find zapvertisements rather annoying and intrusive.
