Creating AI art. Making Nostr 👕 Just plain having fun!⚡️

The lightning lane is here.

The greatest element.

Discover it, and the world changes. 💜

Using keys to sign posts is brilliant.

You can be in any country and "sign up" to use Nostr. It's hard to let go of the old nomenclature. You don't sign up for Nostr, you just use a private/public key pair.

With that said, if you believe your device is compromised, and want to change key pairs, but still keep the same “account,” that's not possible now as I understand it. Would love to see some sort of key management abilities in the future.

Today, I go out into the world, and will build, create, and leave it a better place for having been there.

Oh, and also purple makes me happy. #nostr

The decentralized apps are already here. They're called Damus, Amethyst, Iris, Nostrgram, and more. A lot of talk of decentralized apps in the crypto space, and all it took was to provide real value at the protocol level. No token necessary for it to work. Email didn't need email token to get off the ground, it just provided real value.

Excellent point. Set that up a long time ago but had trouble getting family to do the same.

Wallet of Satoshi was my first experience using lighting, and it failed to send/receive. Is that just a WoS thing, or do other lightning wallets have the same issue?

I'm guessing it's because it's getting used so much here. I’ve used it a lot since and most transactions go through at, um dare I say, lightning speed. ⚡️

Welcome to the city of possibilities.

I've created so many different email variations to protect my main email, it'd be funny if it weren't so tedious.

Me managing my various addresses with multiple providers.

In ye days of yore, most people got their email accounts from their local Internet Service Provider. A lot of those small businesses are gone, and the email addresses with them.

Then larger companies came like AOL and Comcast providing email addresses, and you don't see those addresses too much anymore.

The "free" email providers more commonly used today are problematic for so many shady practices, but if you don't like their practices, it's a pain to move away, it's like moving to a new city.

That's why the public/private key model is so brilliant in nostr. You're not tied to a company, app, or provider. You can move from client to client at will. No account creation needed. It's brilliant.

Here's an “free” email service provider that started out cool, but then...

Good evening, Nostrilandia.

A great way to put it!

Nostr takes social and separates the platform level from the protocol.

No one central authority to create or manage accounts. Just get your public/private key, use any number of clients, and away you go.

Just getting ready for #Nostrica

The key to becoming a nostrmaster begins with the knowing that there is more than one key.

Nothing weird here. Move along.

Nostropolis has a great ring to it!

I am partial to anything with "nostril" in it though.

It just adds that sense on whimsy—and also an impulse to scratch my nose.
