Money is a quantification of human value, human time, and human energy. As such, money has always been virtual, and always scarce. Through history humans have used physical items as proxies for money. Abundant physical items are poor proxies.

Eventually humans invented a virtual proxy of money: fiat. But this proxy is not scarce.

#Bitcoin is the most perfect representation of money. For the first time in human history, we now have a proxy for money that is also virtual and absolutely scarce.
