The external networks will never agree to a standard so it's up to nostr to develop each proof individually?

Spam is obvious on an uncensored, decentralised platform where it's nearly free to create it.
Either cost of spam has to go up or the price to defend against it be way below the price to create it.

Nip-05 nostr address is verification of your nostr profile against a Web presence. Ideally a website you own.
Drawer / Security Filters.
There you can see blocked users, blocked words.
You can untick "spam from stranger" to find any false positives.
If an user is autoblocked you can unblock and quickly follow to prevent blocking of that user.
Pretty intense spam bot. Commenting with a copy of the original post to every nostr post 😂
At the moment #Amethyst client filtering hides it but I don't think the battle is over yet

CORS is a pain for nip-05 on Web clients.

It's being auto blocked. Either because of reports by other users or because of repetitive content.
If you unblock and quickly follow it will stay unblocked.

But a lot of people are confused by the way opening the proposed edit shows only the "fixed" version.
Which is usually exactly what they already MEANT to write, so they don't see any change at all and are baffled.
