yeah so I went looking and found this

peer-to-peer currency by Satoshi

um took some time to digest the white

paper and send email to Satoshi and

offering my help

um so that he first asked me to help

with the web pages so I maintained

bitcoin.org for some time later set up

Bitcoin talk forums

um I know one thing he asked was to keep

my Bitcoin node running so people would

always have a point to connect to and I

did that and also take the generate

coins checkbox

so it would start mining Bitcoin on the

CPU back then you could generate like

200 or 300

Bitcoins per day on the CPU so but I had

to turn it off while playing

Counter-Strike or whatever

yeah

so later on I also contributed to the

Bitcoin source code of Bitcoin release

0.2

so I mostly did uh you UI stuff and

reporting to

reporting to Linux

so nothing like super complicated or

protocol level but I was a junior Dev at

that time

and also I made the first known Bitcoin

to USD transaction with this guy

I sold 5 000 Bitcoins for five US

Dollars on PayPal

um I saw like 10 000 Bitcoins and bought

yeah I could be a billionaire but I I

but I don't feel like I've lost anything

yeah later that year I needed a real job

I was unemployed for a while and I had

to sell the most of it uh at the like

three dollar exchange rate so you know

and that's what happened

yeah um I moved on went uh working but
