My first quad skates were derby/speed skates! They’re super low cut so your ankles can do a full range of motion ~ at one point I could extend my leg out and get my ankle bone nearly parallel to the ground.
My body didn’t like it. It was like, “you’re 40; at least TRY to be graceful once in awhile.”
Why is it so ridiculously fun to zap total strangers and then realize they’re #plebchain or someone else awesome, and be like, “dude, I genuinely want to follow you and I’m glad I randomly #zapped you today”?

Honestly? I miss the speed I’d get from blading; I did it as a kid, and I LOVED to go fast.
Fast forward to now ~ roller skating is more zen. It takes my whole body to execute a move, so I have to slow down a bit. 😬
