Aside from Orange, I don’t really know what my politics are. I grew up in a very lefty town but I don’t like communism/socialism because when you introduce people to a political system they’ll fuck it up with greed, lies and corruption.
Same with free market capitalism, great in principle but people will always fuck it up, again, with greed, lies and corruption.

It’s so tedious living in the UK. Our politicians are so blandly evil and care so little about anyone but themselves. When they introduce their latest god-awful policy it barely registers a shrug anymore.
None of the alternatives would be any better, I’ve absolutely lost all hope in government to make anything better.
The only good thing is that we’re so pathetically eager to take advantage of any regulatory arbitrage opportunities that we’ll court loads of crypto firms and will not see Bitcoin coming until it’s too late.
I think their vanity will be their undoing

There’s no economic or financial literacy education in UK state schools.
There’s no discussion around what money is, what inflation is, nothing.
There are a lot of people out there who have literally no idea why life is so hard right now. They get told it’s the fault of ‘The Other’ by the gutter media and will happily vote away their rights and freedoms.
It’s depressing when you finally see it all, but I choose to live in hope.
