Censorship predominantly benefits those who wish to exert power over others. All ideas should be discussed openly.
I’m from the UK and am watching my government change what is acceptable to say in real time, all under the guise of the common good, and what any sensible person would deem reasonable. I’ve never considered truly free speech as important as it is now

It turns out that people, when left alone and not manipulated by algos and the MSM, trend towards being awesome to each other.
Zapping plays with the incentives somewhat, people might believe that they can rage-post and garner rage-zaps, but I just don’t think it’s a winning strategy.
People will willingly pay with their attention, because people don’t know how valuable their attention is. I don’t think they’ll pay with hard money, because it has real-world value attached to it
