My take on this is that there is time/value literacy which is separate from financial literacy. Many people without financial literacy exhibit strong knowledge, understanding, and discipline around managing their time and energy.

I love seeing new people open channels to my node without me asking. It is sort of an indication that I am doing something right as a node runner. I must be running my node good enough for people to stumble on my node, and want to open channels with me. All of these channels with the exception of satsbase.org were opened to me without me sequestering their inbound liquidity.
I've been thinking a lot about the question "What could kill Bitcoin?"
Although the answer is somewhat obviously, "nothing can kill it", I think I've convinced myself that effective propaganda campaigns like what we saw with alcohol and cannabis prohibitions can slow it down and drive it into the underground to deter its proliferation and growth.

While using nostr-tools, I am easily able to connect to my own relay to grab events associated with my own npub, but when I try to connect to one of the more popular relays, such as Damus, I never connect and never grab any events. Can anyone tell me why?
