People in the UK are going to be fucked. We don't have 30-year mortgages like most in the US.

Yea, just gotta imagine a fedimint where Lopp, Odell, Deater, American HODL, Jeff Booth, and a few more are the guardians. The majority of those people will need to agree to steal the coins. Highly unlikely these people will agree on anything, nevermind stealing π
Fedimints from a guardian/key-holders perspective:
- Install the Fedimint software.
- Keep your keys safe.
- Keep your computer/device on.
(If you can run your own bitcoin node, you have the technical ability to be a guardian/key-holder in a fedimint.)
Fedimints from a user perspective:
imagine a wallet that functions exactly like Wallet of Satoshi except the keys to the bitcoin are held in a multisig of people that you trust and all your spending is completely anonymous. You can both send and receive on-chain funds and lightning payments, but fees between people in the same fedimint are even lower.
Hilariously, if Elon buys bitcoin again, he'll be indirectly advertising and pushing forward Nostr, thereby damaging Twitter, which he owns.

Make buildings and landscapes complement each other again.

And once we have fedimints it'll be as close to a perfect setup as possible for anonymous spending. It's all coming together. π€―
It has lists and bookmarks too! #[2]
Yes, but if you trust yourself to do this and so do others, then by taking it on, you know that you're one less person who would try to rug the depositors. Technical requirements are very small, according to #[2]. It's just a matter of keeping your keys safe and keeping a computer with the software online. It's not any more technical than running your own node and holding your own keys.
Nostrgram beats Iris for desktop.
Just trying now, and the feed loads so much quicker too.
Try it if you haven't yet.

Going to be wonderful to watch as the halving approaches and all the sceptics start to question if this is really a rug pull and bitcoin will dump to zero rather than do what it's done every other time π. Who is going to dare to take the other side?
