Instead of trying to verbally convince people about Bitcoin, I handed out the Bitcoin Standard book as gifts last Christmas. Not a single person I gave them to has read it.
Despite the exchange rate having doubled since then they refuse to see what Bitcoiners see. Some have piled on more debt and saved nothing. Others have stood still essentially falling further behind. We are so early.
