A friend at Nostrville said I'm kind of a bully on here. It's true, I am. I bullied one guy cause his drinking problem was making everyone uncomfortable. I bullied another person who is an admitted Nazi until he stopped coming around. I bully people who are taking bitcoin grants to work on projects none of us asked for. And I bully anyone who supports the notion that Bitcoin needs to change to suit the desires of the very institutions we set out to destroy.

Well said. We are not the women and we shouldn't be one. While we need to be able live with one being a man 👌

For that we need to cultivate intuition, show empathy, talk about feelings, basically learn from women what they have 😁

If you’re a man who’s struggling with low self esteem let me tell you going to therapy isn’t going to help.

The only way to fix it is to do things worthy of esteem.

We aren’t women.

Talking about our problems isn’t the solution.

Go do things in the world.

Well, you have Montessori and Steiner, both alternatives to the factory schools. I don’t think homeschooling is the way to go for all of us. My main concern would be the social learning, not all families have 4+ kids.

So what’s the main problem in modern schools? In my opinion it’s the lack of practical and creative subjects, not enough physical activities and playing (especially for the youngest), and the fact that most boys would have been better off starting school at a much later age (7-8y). And last, but not least: Music and singing is heavily underrated as a tool in almost all subjects. It’s a well documented fact that singing boosts endorphins, builds the sense of belonging to a group, helps you develop language etc.

(Disclaimer: I’ve been teaching vocal arts and music production for 15y at high school level.)

The Arabs and the Ottomans had a different perspective on education.

For them, it was not just about gradually building up dry knowledge from an early age, but first and foremost about character development. People who intended to go through the intellectual school had to learn humility and decency first. For example, the decency to recognize that there are other opinions. Or the humility that is demanded of you when you are faced with an ocean of knowledge.

To this end, students first served their teacher and thus prepared themselves for upcoming challenges. They went shopping for their teachers at the market, washed their laundry, etc., without a word of complaint. And when the teacher eventually decided, 'you are ready for higher knowledge,' then it was time to get to the heart of the matter.

This long prevented the breeding of arrogant intellectuals.
