Yes, and many countries with devastated economy with inflation are using Bitcoins too, and this experiment very much works.
But, I'm talking about BULK of the transactions on Bitcoins and Shitcoins. Even many early maxi-bitcoiners who talk about orange pilling and bitcoin adaption, still use Bitcoins just as a store of value/ investment opportunity since it's better than keeping FIAT idle in banks. But at the end of the day, again it's for riches, not poors.
This came to my mind after reading all the past and ongoing crypto scams like FTX and all.
BTC a game only for rich people
I see lot of people from UK/ European countries into Bitcoins. Those from disadvantaged countries, who do 9-5 jobs 7 days a week and get paid 150 USD per month, neither can afford for think about buying Bitcoins nor can take risks to put their life's money in Bitcoins, cuz they save for major health emergencies and stuff, which are mostly dealt with FIAT even today.
Knowledge and understanding self-sovereignty is not enough to be a Bitcoiner, where you come from is an important criteria too.
