Absolutely. Thought Part 1 was beautiful. I had tried when I was 11 years old to read Dune and couldn’t get into it.
Saw the David Lynch version when I was a kid and thought it was kind of cool.
When I saw Villeneuve’s version it blew me away.
Listened to the latest Audible recording of it last year and truly appreciated what Herbert had created all those years ago.
Now making my way through the other books.
I’m in the same boat. House sitting a few dogs for family in East L.A. About every 20 minutes a cannon goes off. Nothing like a startled jump while reading followed by dogs ripping through the house barking in panic.
Also had to send you extra zap once I reread your profile: “zap melange addict” Brilliant. I’m just finishing up “Dune: Messiah” (first time read for me)
