Big Sky is the crown jewel of Montana skiing. Bridger Bowl is another favorite of mine and is close to Big Sky (if you fly into Bozeman you can easily hit both). Whitefish is great also, north of Kalispell.

Packing for sun trips is a cakewalk. Packing for ski / winter trips is a nightmare. I decided awhile back that rather than fly to ski destinations it was far more practical to just live in them.
Meanwhile me - driving to JH with no luggage constraints - 3 pairs of skis, 2 set of ski boots, 2 full sets of ski outerwear, 1 helmet, 4 sets of goggles, numerous base layer options, 2 sets of knee braces. And that’s just the ski stuff. 👍🏼
