Not normal, this used to be a bucketlist item for many. Usually involved travelling to Alaska, Iceland, Norway etc at particular times of year. It's only become "normal" to see them everywhere very recently.

No, originally from Scotland where it was possible, in January/February to see them in the far North. I tried many times, unsuccessfully, and finally saw them in Iceland. Now they're being seen in Australia? 🫠
