#[0] you have all attendee’s pubkeys from registration right? Can you please give them permission to write to wss://relay.nostrica.com? It would be a great way to have a public record of who was here and to find people you met, etc. I’m happy to help with the legwork if you want.
Something like this? https://github.com/phyro/fo-relay
Must be tweaked to actually store things for 48 hours, but the entire codebase is 40 lines of Go.
Exactly! Thanks for the link.
We should have relays that only allow ephemeral events. So you can post for free but your event will only stay for 48 hours unless you pay.
I’m not seeing this in Nos due to our two hops filter but #[2] was talking about doing the same thing. What are you seeing?
Thanks for the report. I think this was a bug in the published event that I fixed after it was published, so that reply will always be broken. But if you see behavior like this again please let me know!
#[0] when can I get verified as a human?
I just pushed a new build of Nos that displays the like count on notes and has some minor performance improvements. Thanks to everyone trying it out at #nostrica!

How it’s going:

(Everything is fine, just going to be a few hours later than I hoped)
Where does one acquire a fluffy friend?
I haven’t tried it but I think this site sends you a DM on Nostr with a login token: https://vida.page/
Well, we did it! In five weeks we have ported over a lean slice of our secure scuttlebutt app Planetary to Nostr. We call it Nos (“us” in Spanish). We were able to accomplish all the goals I laid out in #[0] in just 5 short weeks.
- Scuttlebutt's "2 hops" algorithm applied throughout the app. This restricts your view in most places to a “neighborhood” of people you have an indirect relationship to, and works well for spam and abuse prevention.
- Our Discover screen, a great way to find new and interesting content.
- Basic safety features: mute and delete
I also threw in an experiment yesterday that’s let’s you browse the feed from a single relay *and* post an event to a single relay, which I haven’t seen any other GUI Nostr apps implement. I’m excited to play around with relays as a form of group/community.
It’s still very early days for Nos, and the app very much feels like an alpha. It’s missing a ton of features, most notably likes, reposts, and DMs. But we’ll be sharing TestFlight links around at #Nostrica, and publicly later on. I’m looking forward to meeting many of you this week and dreaming about the kinds of networks we can build on Nostr.

Hah, I just noticed this was a problem in Nos today. I won’t treat the slash and unslashed versions as separate relays now, but I think if you edit your relay list it will add trailing slashes to all of them 😛
