Keep it simple...stupid! ⚑node runner

Is it possible to block entire nip5 domains?

Just ordered beef testicle powder...

Unlike Stacks, which *requires* you to use their STX token, Liquid uses L-BTC which is the direct peg from BTC to interact with the network.

You can easily swap between Bitcoin and Liquid with services like [SideSwap.io](https://sideswap.io/peg-in-out/) and [BoltzExchange](https://boltz.exchange/swap) for Lightning and Liquid. Both of these are #nokyc.

Liquid is a tool, whether you need faster payments or more privacy; including your example of fighting against high fees. On top of that it's [federation](https://liquid.net/) includes many recognized #Bitcoin companies.

Liquid is not perfect, nor do I recommend it unless you have specific use case.

Stacks on the other hand is a shit-platform for shit-coins disguised as a layer 2, so that pre-mined tokens can get swapped for real btc by Stacks' creators.

Well...that was a load of πŸ’©

Are you arguing it's based on the amount of people using it? Weak ...

There's no real way around it. If you want to test different clients I suggest generating multiple accounts to try them out.

Ultimately you're trusting the client with your nsec.

Some clients allow you to login with extensions like Alby. So you trust the one extension instead of sharing it with multiple clients.

Basic/noob self custody setup would be something like OPENDIME or SATSCARD. While playing around with software seed+passphrase.

Required self custody setup would be hardware wallet generated/or dice generated seed+passphrase. COLDCARD, Passport, Jade, and SeedSigner are top-notch options.

Redundancy/multisig self custody setup for those who want to keep seed phrases/hardware in separate locations. Making it harder to spend funds without serious intent.

ALL of these require that the seed phrases AND hardware be properly stored and secured.

#Bitcoin teaches responsibility.

He's right but he's also wrong. He's assuming people don't need multisig due to its complex nature. This not correct, people should learn about it, try it out with small amounts and then decide if it's good for them.

They need to understand the risks and benefits. He talks a lot about backups, luckily clients like #SparrowWallet make it extremely easy to make the backups, even during wallet creation.

Just watched The Alpinist πŸ”οΈ, it was beautiful.

SATSCARD by Coinkite. It's what I'm doing for my kids.

If the fund gets too big for comfort you can migrate to a COLDCARD.

Went #bouldering πŸ§—after #church β›ͺ again, and the kids have improved so much already. They would stay longer if they could, but mom and dad are wiped out after an hour. 🀣

They conked-out on the car ride home though 😴

Happy Sunday everyone!πŸ§‘πŸ’œβ˜€οΈπŸ€™
