Most people look at well-rounded Nostr apps and think Nostr is "almost finished": it just needs some touches here and there. That's like looking at Windows 3.11 and saying: "this is it".

We haven't even started. We are still a whole kernel re-building away from Windows 95.

If your in your 20's and work in "cutting edge" tech space.

1 - You're going to do well employment/income wise.

2 - You likely pursue new tech bc you are curious. So overtime you'll be a pretty intelligent cookie compared to the rest of your peer group. Stay humble and try avoid being the smartest person in the room whenever you can. Find another room and do it routinely.

3 - When you hit your 30's, just about all your family and friends will try to steal your time for some basic IT like tech support issues they're having. That'll get old quick. But you'll continue to do it for close friends and family...well, the older ones anyway.

4 - When you get into your 40's (for me late 40's) you're not racing to the front for new tech developments. You keep up with the conversations and developments, but you're probably not working or building in those lanes. Instead you're probably be getting better and better at what you've already learned. Doing new things with old "know-how". There's real money in this space bc value is realized in real time by folks who need what you know TODAY.

People getting quite triggered and a little mean for me sharing my experiences about money on here.

I’m still going to share some more.

I made more money on Nostr than on twitter for just one month since twitter introduced payments for creators: January.

In that month I shared a video on here which went semi viral (?) - where I trolled a crypto conference.

It’s usually a couple of generous zappers who make up the lions share of payments: Pareto principle stuff.

I get more money on posts where I say “please zap” and if I forget to mention that on pieces of work, people forget or simply don’t.

For the people saying I need to engage more on Nostr, that’s not quite right because Nostr doesn’t directly reward engagement.

And for those saying oh I can HODL the zaps because they’ll go up in value,

with respect, that’s not at all rational or realistic. We’ve all got to eat and pay bills!

And for those saying “oh well here it’s btc, twitter is fiat”… sure but we do still live in a very fiat world and most bitcoiners don’t earn btc, they buy bitcoin.

I am one of very very few Bitcoiners who lives on a full bitcoin standard and earns btc so I appreciate this more than most!

I’m gonna keep sharing my twitter and Nostr stats because I’m sure it’s resonating with some people.

I quit alcohol, sugar and seed oils over a year ago now. Lost a bunch of weight and have never been healthier or stronger.

Very rarely I do consume small amounts of these things, usually by accident, and it fucks me up hard every time.

It seems people build a tolerance to the poisons that they never notice until they quit them.

I fucking crave meats, fats, cheeses and raw milk. I do not miss the other bullshit at all. Repulsed by the thought of chocolate cake and mixed drinks. Every body I tell this to acts like Im some ridiculous extremist and I think, well look at your waistline then look at mine.

What are you working on today?

Your flex isn't a flex.

No one cares about your car.

Or your bigwig job title.

Or your watch.

I was just in a room full of c suite execs from fortune 500 companies.

People that have reached the pinnacle of traditional success.

But they aren't in control of their time.

Most of them completely missed their children growing up.

Many of them are unhealthy.

And few of them know how to enjoy life, because they have spent their lives focused on the next rung of the corporate ladder.

Conditioning themselves to live for "someday" that will never arrive.

In their defense, when they started their careers decades ago, it was a lot harder to achieve a high quality of life outside of the big corporate setting.

But now the status symbols they aimed at (the title, the big house, etc.) have lost value.

The new status symbols are:

- Control over your time

- Control over where you work

- Freedom to watch your children grow up

- Ability for your spouse to stay home

- Ability to travel whenever you want

- A fit body and a healthy mind

Just like the old status symbols, nobody really cares whether you achieve these things.

But your family will. And that's what matter most.

So how to get these things?

We live in an age of incredible opportunity.

The opportunities for individuals and small teams to build wealth via business have never been greater.

You no longer need to slave away in an office for decades to bank $10+ million.

Traditional media used to monopolize the power to influence; today that power has been decentralized by platforms like X.

Similarly, corporate influence has lost ground to individual influence.

Authentic individuals are the brands that people now trust.

And people will always prefer to buy from brands they trust.

This is an opportunity for those who recognize it and act upon it. That alone should make you optimistic.

But what if you don't want to start a business?

You can still get there by choosing to save in #Bitcoin

Families that have adopted a Bitcoin standard for their savings have seen dramatic increases in living standards compared to people who save in assets like the S&P500.

For every Lambo-flaunting crypto scammer, there are probably 1,000+ families spending more time together because of Bitcoin.

And at the end of the day, that's the only status symbol that really has any substance.

Sort of. I adjusted to this more "natural" system with small kids. You can observe, how is it completely normal for them to go to sleep when it gets dark and wake up with light. It is not working 100% but I'm much closer to light / dark rhythm then before kids.

If you ever work at a company and they make you use Jira... just know that you're better than that.
