I have a friend who thinks like this but I say to him it's better to spend and refill as that way you get bitcoin out there more. For you you will have the same bitcoin but now someone else also has bitcoin

I've uncovered an old gate at the bottom of my garden that hasn't been used for 60 years. It's full of soil behind it and would need digging out.
I plan on using it in future when walking the kids to school at it's a safer route but it's going to require a lot of digging and building new paths and steps up a steep slope.
Will be an interesting project.

I would say true bitcoiners didn't as they would know not to support it. It's anti the philosophy of bitcoin.
I guess those who did support it are thinking about fiat gains more than anything else
