Now that I’ve been doing this for over a year. I’ve found that orange pilling someone doesn’t start with mentioning ₿itcoin. It starts with finding an understanding of where someone is coming from. How do they perceive the world. Since ₿itcoin touches on it all, you can find their entry point to ₿itcoin. And guide them to it. Casually drop it in conversations but only as side topic. Don’t dwell on it. Just enough so they know you’re into it. For when they have questions, they’ll come to you for their first orange pill.
If you're wanting to learn from an OSS community, find their Discord and just listen into calls that happen.
If another protocol is affecting Lightning negatively, it wasn’t strong enough and deserves to fail.
The two aren’t very related, technically speaking.
How hard is it to become an accountant?

Any miners on the east coast?
I think massive religious insitutions have not been good for society, but common beliefs for communities is a net good. Decentralization at it's finest.
To your second point, I agree. However, I was an ahteist for most of my adult life (33 now) and considered myself a good person. Now that I have Faith, I haven't changed being a good person. It may be different for others though. Some people need external influence/motivation to do good.
Seeking justification for your actions is inherent to being human. This is why I think spirituality (religious or otherwise) is critical to the human condition.
I agree with the third point. We should always be asking questions. If your pastor or religious leader prohibits questions, then find another one. We should always be seeking answers and truth. Even in religion.
Funny enough, my kid loves her videos. Doesn’t quite understand them but has watched a few of them.
You may not believe in God but humans are spiritual creatures.
We want peace with our surroundings and as time goes on we are able to explain more and more about our surroundings but the mysteries of the universe still need an explanation.
We are wired to worship. If you aren’t worshipping God or some other benevolent spiritual manifestation, you may come to worship material things or people.
The incentives of this material worship are warped and can be manipulated by evil.
Being incentivized to do good or else face eternal damnation can be a strong motivator for someone who may be morally gray.
Reputation matters. In meatspace and in the digital cypherpunk future being built now.
PV y’all.
Congrats! My oldest is 5 today. Such a great day for kiddos.
I like TypeScript. It’s a superset with static types that makes the dev experience better imho, but still lets you do weird stuff when you just want things to work.
It’s run the web for years and years so not all bad. 🤷♂️
Maybe.
Fell into a new project, got excited for it. Started writing egui to get a PoC.
Turns out another dev had the project 80% done. Now I just have to finish it.
🤷♂️
Lost the battle at work. Won’t be writing rust. Back to the hellscape that is JS dev.
Any one good with c code internationalization and want to help me fix a Damus bug?
I think I mistook your meaning too. My bad.
My initial comment was intended to be punny.
Text is such a weird media to communicate with.
Sorry if I came off as a dick.
